Narrow Missed For BSA Racing Team !

Jimmy Low celebrated 2nd placing victory in the Supercar category.

It's been a terrific start for BSA Racing Team in the 2003 Malaysian Super Series Championship which was held at the worldclass Formula 1 circuit in Sepang. Entering its second season, the first leg of MSS championship saw stiff competition between Ron Lim, Jeffrey Wong and Jimmy Low in the Super Car category. The race was dominated by defending champion Ron Lim in his Mazda RX7 and Jimmy Low who was driving a Honda Civic 1.8 under the anner of BSA Racing Team. Jimmy Low displayed excellent driving skills and finished just two seconds behind Ron Lim in the first heat race. Jeffrey Wong failed to finish the race due to car alternator problem.

The heavy downpour before the start of Super Car heat 2 made the circuit difficult to maneuver. Jeffrey Wong and Aminuddin took advantage of the wet track, leaving behind seasoned driver Jimmy Low. Ron Lim did not start the second race because of a tyre problem. Jeffrey Wong eventually took the chequered flag and Aminuddin finished second with Jimmy Low coming in third. Victory was already in hand unofficially for Jimmy Low who managed to collect 27 points from the two races. However, the joy and celebration did not last long for Jimmy Low. Jeffrey Wong, who grabbed the pole position in race 2, was slapped with a 60 seconds penalty for jump-start error. The error done by Jeffrey forced him to settled down in the second placing.

Aminuddin who was in the second position was the announced as the winner for heat 2 thus making him the overall champion by collecting 28 points in two races. Jimmy Low came in second by losing 1 point to Aminuddin.
